TRIED & TESTED DENIM REVIEW

If your a regular visitor to ilovejeans Style Blog, you already know we are all about getting the right style for your body shape.

Tried & Tested aims to give you the reader an understanding of the featured style and if it’s a good style for YOU!

I was asked to review “The Sienna Boot Cut” by a new brand called Beg, Borrow or Steal, a premium denim brand at a lower price! Isn’t that a contradiction of terms? Let’s wait and see……….

As Beg, Borrow or Steal is a new brand I  base my review just on what I see before me. I have to say that i’m pleasantly surprised with the feel & quality of  this style for the lower priced premium denim market.  With the price point £55 this classic boot cut feels & looks a cut above high street denim for the same price.

The front rise measures 8.5″ which makes this style a mid-rise, which is perfect for women who are looking for a comfortable style with more cover around the tummy area. The back rise measures 14″ which is surprisingly high but again gives the wearer maximum comfort, G strings be gone!

The leg length is a regular 32″ and the boot cut has a leg opening of 18″ which will elongate the leg and look great with a pair of heels. The waistband measure’s 1.5″ which is again is great when your looking for comfort.

The stitching is a white & yellow in colour and minimal, metal button with the “BBS” stamp. The style has a subtle whiskering on the front and behind the knee.  I found the sizing a bit on the large size ( size uk 8 more like a uk 10). Sizes start at a uk 6 to uk 16.

Fabric composition on this style is 90% Cotton 8% Poly 2% Lycra. In my experience when there is a Poly/Lycra mix the jean tends to keep it’s shape longer.

To summarize, The Sienna boot cut ticks more boxes than not when you’re looking for a classic boot cut. Obviously in each body shape there are variations of size and curves.  However this style will be good for the average pear and hourglass. Also for a long & leggy/ athletic body shape ( taking a smaller size).

The Sienna boot cut £55 is available from House of Fraser now :
