Tried & Tested, Patchwork, skinny jean, Pull & Bear

Today we welcome back Rachel who had fun trying on these Skinny Fit Jeans with Patchwork Detail £29.99 at Pull & Bear, for today’s tried & tested review. Patchwork denim is a must-have trend for Spring/ Summer and one the denim lover will grasp with both hands!

The Fit: These jeans are a skinny fit with a patchwork denim detail. They are available in sizes 4 to 14, Rachel’s wearing a size 8. The different shades of denim and where they’re strategically placed can give the illusion of a slimmer thigh or an narrower waist. See below the lighter patch of denim (on the right) makes Rachel’s hip look slimmer, it’s a trick of the eye.

The Rise: The rise of this jean measures 9 inches, which is great if you have a curvy body shape in need of a higher waist. Also good for apple body shapes!

The Behind: The back rise measures 14 inches which give a good coverage. The back pockets placed in a central position which makes most derrieres look good. The yoke looks quite wide but it’s because the denim is dark and sits against the waistband which is a light denim.

Leg Opening: 4.5 inches

Leg Length: 28 inches. This jean would look with a turn-up!

The Fabric: 99% cotton, 1% Elastane

Which Body Shape: This style is good for hourglass, pear and apple body shapes. The rise maybe too high for the petite

The Round Up: I think this jean is a great style and bang on trend for under £30! I would suggest going down a size as this jean tends to get bigger as you wear it. Although the fabric content is only 1% Elastane the patchwork gives this jean added stretch, see Rachel doing her yoga move above!
