Welcome back to Tried & Tested, today I review the CURRENT/ELLIOTT BLACK BROCADE ANKLE SKINNY JEANS, £200.00 at My-Wardrobe.

If you want to embrace this seasons Baroque rock and roll style, these luxury skinny jeans are ideal.

The Fit:  Black ankle skinny mid-rise jeans featuring a classic five pocket design, belt loops, gold-tone rivets and a black jacquard printed design. Sizes 24 -32 are available catering to most body shapes.

The Rise: CURRENT/ELLIOTT jeans have an 8 inch rise sitting just below the navel.

The Behind: As promised from this brand, the jeans hugged my curves, (that definitely includes my bottom), yet I found the fit of the legs a lot looser…

The Leg Opening:  The leg opening is 11 inches.

Leg Length:  A 30 inch inside leg that tapered toward the ankle but I found the fit of the legs too lose from hip to just past the knee which you may be able to see in the image.  I loved the overall look but if you’re looking for a typically skinny jean, these might not satisfy.  However, if you’re a curvy apple or hourglass and want a little room or often fear that skinny jeans won’t suit you, these would be a good compromise.

The Fabric:  Made of 72% cotton and 28% elasterell they are dry clean only bur since the Baroque detail and opulent pattern is so stunning, they’re worth the extra expense.

Function: A fantastic way for curvy girls to try skinny jeans and bang on trend for the season, offering a subtle air of sensuality.   Wear for special occasions and ‘notice-me’ appointments with a colour pop of bright shoes and a sequinned jumper, as I have done here, or dress down with a chunky knit and long leather boots to the knee.

Tried & Tested Score: 7/10
