I can’t believe it’s 6 years since I ran the Race for Life 5K Challenge for the amazing charity Jeans for Genes. We raised a wonderful 48K and got fit doing it!

For my US readers let me explain… Jeans for Genes is a London based charity that provides grants to organisations for projects that aim to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders. Most of their money is raised from Jeans for Genes Day which is the annual fundraising campaign for Genetic Disorders UK, the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by a genetic disorder.

This year Jeans for Genes day is on Friday 21st September and most UK schools, workplaces and some communities will put on a pair of jeans or wear a denim skirt or denim dress and give a donation to the charity. My daughters love the day as it means they don’t have to wear school uniform and I’m always happy to give to the cause that encourages people to wear jeans!

I wear jeans most days of the week and at times I need a bit of denim inspiration to get me going in the morning so here’s my ‘denim-a-day-dairy’ focusing on key denim pieces I’m loving from Simply Be, to get us in the mood for Friday’s J4G Day!
