PLAID & DENIM
Bloggers at times are asked to do fun things, in this case I was asked to put my favourite denim look together from House of Fraser. It’s a classic one, also a hot trend on the catwalk for AW13, Plaid (or Tartan as us Brits like to call it) and Denim.
Evolved somewhat since the 70’s punk era and I love how Vivienne Westwood re-works that Tartan look with soft tailoring. It’s a simple style to play with, so go ahead.
My Plaid & Denim look starts with #1 Karen Millen Mixed denim jeans £85 I really like the mix of contrasting double denim, dark on the back and light denim on the front, the turn-up hem and the patch detail around the knee. #2 is a Desigual Verde blouse £114 , I’m always attracted to colour and love the folk embroidered denim detail on the shoulders and on the cuff. #3 Nine West Bappy high heel court shoes £89 I chose as they have a touch of Vivienne Westwood’s pirate boots! #4 Dickins & Jones Ladies british check blazer Now £ 105.00 Was £ 150.00. The shape of this blazer works for me, nipped in at the waist and the navy tartan clashes well with the green check on the blouse. I’d wear it with with the bottom of the blouse peeking out under the jacket. #5 is the Love Moschino Saffiano blue dome bag £160 as I wanted to give this look a grown up feel and I’m a sucker for a scarf!
