The Fit: The Major is a classic J Brand Jean that is forever in style. The Blue Bonnet colour is exclusive to Donna Ida – and perfect for the Summer months.  Sizes 24 – 32 (approx UK size 6- 12). Donna Ida recommends you go down a size for a long lasting slim fit.

The Rise: Your be pleased to hear the front rise measures 9.5 inches, which makes this jean a good high-rise option.

The Behind: In true J Brand style the back pockets are kept to a minimum no fuss. The pockets are positioned quite high to give the bottom a pert look.

The Leg Opening:  The Major has an 10 inch leg opening when the ankle zip is closed.

Leg Length:  The inseam is 28 inches, which will be cropped on the longer leg or sit on the ankle bone, when the zip is closed.

The Fabric: 98% Cotton 2% Lycra Twill.  J Brand say’s: Luxe Twill gives softness and stretch to your favorite styles. Garment dyed to reveal a rich colour and smooth finish.

Function: The J Brand Major Skinny is a classic skinny style with opening zip detail on the outside of the ankle. The style is quite understated from the knee upward and in my opinion it’s the ankle zip detail that gives this style edge, which makes this jean an essential to any wardrobe. The colour – Blue Bonnet is one of this season’s fashion colours, exclusive to Donna Ida, that make this jean stand out from the crowd.

Which Body Shape:  Donna Ida say’s  “Suitable for every body shape with its flattering high rise, zip ankle detail and super stretch twill.”.  With the front rise sitting at 9.5 inches high this style does lend itself to most body shapes within J Brand’s sizing which goes up to a size 32 which is approx a UK14.

If you read Tried & Tested on a regular basis ( I hope you do!) then you will know I’m a total J Brand fan. This is purely based on how their jeans fit your body shape and make you feel when you wear them, which in my opinion should be the primary factor when buying jeans. There’s something about the design of the J Brand Skinny that improves your body and elongates your legs!  The Major is an easy style to wear through the season’s with killer heels or boots, this style is a classic.

The price £205 is a mid price for a J Brand Jean, be assured you will wear these again and again.
