Back in the day when I was an Assistant Buyer, I always found it interesting just how quickly the designers working for High Street retailers could turnaround a look straight off the catwalk. These days trends are predicted 2-3 years ahead by Fashion Forecasting agency WGSN which is the largest worldwide. Working with the fashion and design industries from concept to what’s in store by analyzing what’s happening in the world, on the street, in art, culture, music and looking back to vintage. This is how trends are born, guiding both designer collections and high street fashion retailers . The interpretation maybe different but the trend is the same.
