It’s true to say that we are just a bit obsessed with identifying body shapes here at FitQueens HQ. Knowing your body shape is key for dressing slimmer and wiser!

Take Princess Kate, she has a slim frame with a curve, her upper body is smaller than her bottom half.

Kate is very slim but if she was to put on weight we would see this on her bottom and thigh area.

So Kate is on the lower spectrum of the pear shape scale where as Beyonce and Tyra Banks curves are at the higher end.

Princess Kate = Slim Pear Shape

Pear Shape girls Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Tyra Banks.

Kate is a real denim princess and opts for denim when the situation allows.

Above we see her in  cropped skinny jeans J Brand “811? Mid-Rise Skinny Pant in Navy Luxe Twill on a visit to Yellowknife, Canada with husband Prince William. Her denim style is classic with a blouse always tucked in with the option of a blazer.

 Pippa Middleton = Athletic/ Boyish

Pippa has a different body shape to her sister, her frame is thicker in the waist with a more muscle tone on her legs, giving Pippa an athletic or boyish body type. She is often papped out and about in jeans and straight leg seems to be her favourite.

Shop Pippa’s style:

Pippa’s denim style is more casual with a loose blouse teamed with the all important handbag. For the athletic/boyish body shape a boot cut or a skinny flare jean can give the illusion of curves.
