This week we visited Trilogy, London’s premium denim specialist, founded in 2006, with one simple aim – to find everyone the perfect pair of jeans. The style we are reviewing today is The Ozzy Skinny Crop in Electric, from the brand TEXTILE BY ELIZABETH AND JAMES. ( more on that later).
Our model today is Jade a petite body shape, size 25 /UK8. Jade is the PR Manger for Trilogy Stores and fellow denim lover.
Jade’s unique rise measurement is 11.5 inches, her preferred rise measurement is 8 to 9 inches.
The Fit: The Ozzy from Textile by Elizabeth and James is a low waisted skinny, cropped just above the ankle. It’s a compact figure enhancing fit which works. Sizes start at 24- 30, approx UK 6-12.
Featuring Textile’s discreet signature detailing - their 5 chevron stitching on the back pockets & the slanted back belt loop.
The Rise: The front rise measures 8 inches and the back rise 12.5 inches, giving this style good bottom coverage.
The Behind: Nearly all TEXTILE’S signature detailing is on the bottom. Notice the discreet 5 chevron stitching at the bottom of the pockets, which gives the clever illusion of up-lifting the bottom cheeks! A slanted back belt loop and a lighter denim patch on the back of the waistband gives this skinny character.
The Leg Opening: The leg opening is 9 inches which makes this style a skinny jean
Leg Length: The inseam is 26 inches, which is a cropped above the ankle, making this jean perfect for the petite lady 5″3 and under.
The Fabric: 65% Cotton, 33% Lyocell, 2% Elastane. The denim has the perfect blend of stretch & hold to give a really flattering look.
Function: The Ozzy Skinny Crop is one of those styles that works for both day, night and is an all season jean. Jade teams her’s with an Textile by Elizabeth and James Lara blouse in claret, which is a perfect look for PR meetings & lunches.
Trilogy Say’s: This sexy skinny in a clean dark ink colour looks awesome day or night.
Which Body Shape? Definitely a great style for a Petite body shape due to the shorter leg length, also good for my fellow Apple body shape due to the 8 inch rise. Curvy girls should measure their “unique rise measurement” to see if this rise has enough height to give the best coverage for their curves.
The Round Up Of The Ozzy Skinny Crop in Electric
For me this style ticks all the boxes making it a girls best friend. Love the dark denim wash, good mid-rise, bottom enhancing features on the pockets, cropped style. An easy to wear style at the reasonable price of £160. If I wasn’t with child I would definitely purchase!
