I am size 12, 5 feet 6 inches and suit bootleg cut jeans. I think I have a boyish shape (not long legs) and suit high waisted trousers as I am thin under my rib cage. Please could you suggest flattering jeans in a mid/light denim?
Many thanks for your help.

Hello Rose,
Boy figures can look great in the perfect fitted jeans!
First of all check the Berlin jeans by Made in heaven, availble from the ilovejeans.com online shop.
These are the colour you are after and hight waisted. They are a straight leg, but with the rise of the jean, it will actually flatter your shape even more.

The Hudson Boot cut jeans will also embrace your figure and add some shape .The thicker waist band will define your hips, which will create a curve.

Hello Judith,
I cannot believe you do not have one pair of jeans...you have been missing out!
You can create so may different looks with jeans...so lets get you started.
My first suggestion is that you check the NYDJ-tummy tuck jeans, these are popular with all sizes and ages as they are so comfortable, but even better...hold you in and look great!
With this brand, you have to order one size down as they are American sizing and extremely stretchy too!
Price ranges from £85 from the sale up to £125.... high quality jeans!
Click this following link to view the full range: http://www.ilovejeans.com/bybrand.php?id=73&viewall=1
For a completely different look, another style perfect for all ages, is the Hidden Hills by Paige Premium Denim.
These are created to be flattering on the waist and give a real smart/trendy look.

I used to wear the Made In heaven London Boy jeans, which I bought from you. After wearing them out alot, I now need a similar cut, is there anything close to that style? I do not mind which brand. Sarah
(Added Fri 20 Jun)
Hi Sarah,
You clearly want a boyfriend style jean. Try the Sugar jeans by Kuyichi, they are a similar style, but a more solid wash. These are of course also available from ilovejeans, here is the link to view: http://www.ilovejeans.com/product.php?id=1812
Good for those more casual days, but still give a very feminine look!

I am not very happy with my shape, I never did lose the weight after giving birth! I really want some white jeans, but is there a pair out there that you can suggest for a larger woman?
Veronica
(Added Fri 20 Jun)
Hi Veronica,
Do not let your weight interfer with your preference of colour and clothes style!
Yes, white is not the most flattering shade for women past a certain size as it does attract any bumps you want to hide.
However NYDJ-tummy tuck jeans have brought out their summer collection, which includes white. Pale blue and Capri pants are also part of this range, so check them out on: http://www.ilovejeans.co.uk/ishop/1103/shopscr203.html available from ilovejeans onlineshop.
Tummy tuck jeans really do know how to embrace your curves, giving you the freedom to wear which ever colour you like!
So...go on and wear white!

Hello stylist,
I was wandering if you could suggest some eco-friendly jeans for me? I love denim, but in recent years have become more concious of the environment and the people behind producing my clothes. If you can recommend a style or brand, that would be great? Thanks
(Added Tue 15 Jul)
Hi there,
Peolpe ususally relate eco-friendly things with boring and expensive!
Well we have two brands here at ilovejeans.com especially created for the eco-chic woman!
Check out Del forte Organic denim, really trendy styles without spending a fortune!
Kuyichi another fresh brand, is all about fair trade and producing organic denim also. Styles are at a bargain price too!
Most importantly these jeans look and feel just the same, if not better than others!

I am 56, size 16 with big thighs, a hollow back and only 5ft 3ins. NYDJ sounded the perfect solution for me but the high waisted style just does notwork for me - it seems to make me look even more pear shaped. Something that sits just the hips seems to suit me better. Any ideas?
(Added Thu 05 Jun)
Hello Chris,
Yes the NYDJ-tummy tuck jeans are good for curvaceous women, but if the rise is not for you, try something a little lower, like a 9 inch front rise.
I suggest the Hidden Hills by Paige Premium, Please click on the following link to view: http://www.ilovejeans.com/product.php?id=1753
These are also perfect for women with curves as the thicker waist band and double buttoning allows security around the waist without causing a spill over, which I agree is not flattering!!
Also depending on your actual body shape, Little in the middle are the newest brand to ilovejeans, they are designed for Hour glass and pear shapes.
They work out to be smaller on the waist and bigger on the hips, so they prevent you from purchasing jeans one size bigger just to accommodate for your hips and bum!!! Here is the link for you to view: http://www.ilovejeans.com/bybrand.php
Hope this directs you well!

Hi, please help!...My daughter and I have been blessed with small waists & not so small hips at all! We both love jeans, but want to feel good in them too, but we cannot find anything out there to show off our hour glass figures, instead find ones that make us self-concious in them. Do you know of any solutions please?

i find it hard to get jeans to fit my size. I am an apple shape my waist is 34inches and my hips are 44.
(Added Wed 28 May)
Hi Sarah,
My suggestion would be to go for any style from the NYDJ-tummy tuck jean brand available at ilovejeans.com online shop.
Tummy tuck jeans are designed for women with real curves, Apple, pear, hour glass and fuller figured shapes, so I am sure they will be a perfect fit for you too.
Even better, the summer range is now in and so there are more styles and colours to chose from!!
All you need to do is click on the following link to view the full range....there are some even available in the sale page!

Good luck, but I am positive they will be a winner for you!

I have difficulty finding suitable jeans because I am very long from my waist to groin. I am 5 ft 7 and average build.
(Added Tue 20 May)
Hi Abby,
I think the best thing you can do is find jeans that are high rise,
so they are an average rise on your actual shape.
Anything lower than 9 inch rise, will probably be unsuitable for you,
but focus on 9.5-10 inch rises.
High waist jeans, may sit on the wrong part of you, so concentrate
on high rise, rather than high waisted!
Check out the Eugina straight leg jeans by Del forte Organic, these
are a 9 inch rise and great for the environment too!
Also look at the 3 colour washes in the made in Heaven Marrakesh style, 9.5 inch rise.
Click on links to view both on ilovejeans.com online shop:
http://www.ilovejeans.com/product.php?id=1763

Hope this makes a difference for you when finding jeans!
